May 31, 2017 (A391U). The IEEE CSC and ESAS Superconductivity News Forum (SNF) http://snf.ieeecsc.org/
invites each keynote and invited speakers at the upcoming 16th
International Superconductive Electronics Conference (ISEC 2017) to submit her/his Extended Abstract (EA) and
the slide presentation for possible online publication in SNF. The ISEC short abstract should also be included and the Conference assigned presentation ID indicated. Electronic submission to superconductivityforum@ieee-org
is requested. Deadline for possible inclusion in the July 2017 Issue of SNF is June 23, 2017
. Later submissions (by September 20th
, 2017) may appear in the October 2017 SNF Issue. Most of EA submitted to ISEC 2017 aren’t copyrighted and will only appear on the conference website for a limited time, while SNF offers a more permanent record that also assures fast and broad dissemination of the presented material. However, an EA submitted to IEEE Xplore will be copyrighted. Nevertheless, SNF can pre-publish the preprint of it in the version as originally submitted there. Please, indicate where submitted (ISEC or IEEE).
Authors, who did not prepare any EA, should annotate their slide presentation to make it comprehensible to readers not present in the audience
. The PPT format includes the convenient option of annotating[i]
. Slideshow submission in the PPT format is preferable, but the PDF format is also acceptable if the author annotates in PPT format before converting to PDF.
Each submission to SNF will be evaluated by our panel of reviewers. Of EA copyrighted by IEEE Xplore, SNF may select only those that do not require any revision. After publication in IEEE Xplore, such SNF preprint will be linked to the IEEE Xplore online version. The format of all submitted text files should be either WORD (preferably) or PDF.
A limited number of online slots is also reserved for authors of contributed ISEC 2017 presentations. We invite them to participate in the SNF Contest for Best Contributed Presentations, independent of the presentation format (oral or poster). All rules and requirements specified above for keynote and invited presentations apply to Contest participants, except that the Contest final deadline is June 30, 2017. Selected Winners and Runners Up, respectively rated “excellent” and “very good”, will appear in the October 2017 Issue of SNF with a possibility of an earlier Preview.
This updated announcement supersedes the A391 of May 24th, which is withdrawn.
[i] To get an idea of what type of additional information is desirable and how the annotation is to be found in a published presentation, please look on an example of annotated presentation we published recently. For example, in SNF Issue No. 33 see the plenary ISEC 2015 presentation CRP54: http://snf.ieeecsc.org/abstracts/crp54-recent-progress-digital-superconducting-electronics. The annotation of slides can be read when hovering the mouse arrow over the small pink/yellow square icon located near the upper left corner of a slide. Such icons can be found in all annotated slide presentations published in SNF.
