Update- Indexing Issue at Clarivate Analytics (formerly Thomson Reuters)

August 17, 2017:  Clarivate has updated the impact factor for TAS. The impact factor is 1.579. This has now been updated on the TAS IEEE Xplore home page. Other metrics are anticipated to be determined in early September.

At IEEE TAS we recently became aware of an indexing issue at Clarivate Analytics (formerly Thomson Reuters). IEEE contacted us to let us know that there was a major clerical error at Clarivate that caused them to inadvertently leave IEEE TAS out of the Journal Citation Report (JCR). This had nothing to do with the quality or impact of our journal but was simply an unfortunate mix-up at Clarivate. Needless to say, this is quite frustrating for us. IEEE and the Council on Superconductivity are working hard to get Clarivate to resolve this and we hope to be back on the JCR listing very soon.

The Council will continue to provide updates to the Superconductivity Community as they are received.

For further information on this issue, please contact the Council on Superconductivity’s Vice President for Publications, Lance Cooley, at ldcooley@asc.magnet.fsu.edu.
