Search Indexes

Because this is an Adobe Acrobat®/Reader® Version 7 file, the following issues for Version 5 and Version 6 users may be encountered:

1. This Electronic Guide uses an Adobe Reader® Version 7 Search index to provide the full-text search functionality of this product. The Adobe Reader® Version 7 Search index is not compatible with Adobe Acrobat®/Reader® Version 5 and the message “The index associated with this document (MASTER7.PDX) is not available” will appear when the Electronic Guide launches and each time you return to the Electronic Guide after viewing a paper. An Adobe Reader® Version 5 Search index (MASTER5.PDX) is included on the disc and can be used for searching. To use the Adobe Reader® Version 5 Search index:
a) Click on the Search button in your toolbar.
b) Click on the Indexes… button in the Search Window.
c) Click on the Add button and browse to your CD-ROM
     drive.
d) Highlight the file named MASTER5.PDX and click on the
     Open button
e) Click on the Okay button and it will return you to the
Search Window and you will be able to conduct searches
   with the version 5 index.
2. Adobe Reader® Version 5 and Version 6 users may receive the message “This file may contain newer information than this viewer can support. Adobe            recommends you upgrade….There is a “Do not show this message again” box that can be checked to suppress the message.
