IEEE Transactions on Applied Superconductivity

Special Notice:

At IEEE TAS we recently became aware of an indexing issue at Clarivate Analytics (formerly Thomson Reuters). IEEE contacted us to let us know that there was a major clerical error at Clarivate that caused them to inadvertently leave IEEE TAS out of the Journal Citation Report (JCR). This had nothing to do with the quality or impact of our journal but was simply an unfortunate mix-up at Clarivate. Needless to say, this is quite frustrating for us. IEEE and the Council on Superconductivity are working hard to get Clarivate to resolve this and we hope to be back on the JCR listing very soon.

For further information on this issue, please contact the Council on Superconductivity’s Vice President for Publications, Lance Cooley, at

Welcome to the information page for submitting your manuscript to the IEEE Transactions on Applied Superconductivity. We are pleased that you are considering a submission and look forward to receiving your manuscript into our online peer review process.

Electronic peer review is used because it accelerates the publication process and allows you, the author, to check the progress of your manuscript online. Editors and reviewers appreciate the reduction in the volume of paper and the efficiency of the ScholarOne record keeping system. Everyone likes the speed of e-mail, especially our international colleagues.

The IEEE Author Center website contains guidelines for manuscript preparation and explains the procedure for electronic submission.
