I started my journey in applied superconductivity in 2020, when I had the opportunity to work on a superconducting magnet for hadron therapy. I then shifted to magnets for particle accelerators, and today my thesis focuses on the mechanical challenges of ultra- high field REBCO magnets. By combining innovative material characterization methods and refined modelling strategies, I aspire to shed light on some of the key challenges of this technology.
