IEEE Transactions on Applied Superconductivity introduces new IEEE Author Portal

The IEEE CSC is pleased to announce that authors submitting manuscripts to IEEE Transactions on Applied Superconductivity (TAS) can now do so using the IEEE Author Portal. The IEEE Author Portal replaces ScholarOne Manuscripts as the submission and revision site for all prospective authors of IEEE TAS. Among other features, the IEEE system:

• Automatically exports manuscripts to S1M, completely maintaining the editorial and peer review workflows
• Makes article submission faster and easier; an author can drag and drop all files at once
• Uses machine learning algorithms to extract key submission information from manuscript files (authors do not have to rekey or copy/paste the information)
• Gives authors a single location and interface for performing the entire submission and revision process
• Intelligently extracts and converts metadata from the author-supplied source files, reducing the need for manual checks
• Provides simpler, less error-prone editorial operations
• Ensures more complete submissions, reducing the number of “unsubmits"
