Announcement | Today at 13:32 facebook twitter linkedin Email As we come to the end of 2024, on behalf of the Council on Superconductivity, I want to thank all our volunteers for their contributions to a fruitful year. Our success would not be possible without the dedication of our widely known and highly respected volunteers. Thank you for your service! The Council on Superconductivity is healthy and growing, with solid financial performance. The Council has good relationships with our sponsor Societies and the major technical conferences in applied superconductivity. Our Young Professionals events at the ASC in Salt Lake City were fun, energetic, and full of promise for the future of our field. Through the year, the Council reviewed Fellow nominations, presented IEEE Awards for lifetimes of achievement, awarded Graduate Student Fellowships, and sponsored a successful Workshop on Low Temperature Electronics. As President, I am grateful to the leadership of our ExCom. Special thanks to Elie Track, our Treasurer, and to Alexander Polasek for 6 years as Editor-in-Chief of IEEE TAS. Also, thank you to those completing long terms of service: Sasha Ishmael, Secretary; Joe Minervini, VP Awards; and Bruce Strauss, VP Finance. Next year we celebrate the 25th anniversary of the founding of the Council on Superconductivity. Please support the transition to our next generation of leaders: incoming President Luisa Chiesa, President-Elect Sam Benz, and Treasurer Anna Fox. Happy holidays to you and your family! Peace and prosperity in the new year! John Przybysz IEEE CSC President, 2021-2024 Related Content 2024 End of Year Message
